current and former students, faculty and staff.

New Inductees into the
YORKTOWN HIGH SCHOOL
HALL OF FAME AND INSPIRATION
A new group of distinguished alumni were inducted into the
YHS Hall of Fame and Inspiration on May 23, 2008. Follow the link below to see the
plaques of the honorees that are on display in the school.
The tributes assembled here originally grew out of a
project to honor alumni, teachers and staff whose deeds and lives bring credit to Yorktown
High School. The first installment of this expandable exhibit was sponsored in 2003 by the
Alumni & Friends of Yorktown High School, Inc., the Yorktown High School PTA, and the
Yorktown High School administration led by Principal Raymond Pasi. It was prepared by a
volunteer committee of alumni and current students, teachers and parents who considered
dozens of nominations received in response to an e-mail survey sent to thousands of
alumni. The Hall of Fame and Inspiration plaques were made possible through the generosity
of Hubert N. "Jay" Hoffman III, YHS Class of 1962. He made his gift in honor of
a beloved Yorktown teacher, Mary Stuart Moseley, who taught business from 1960-78.

We are not
sponsoring any class reunions this year. However, as a courtesy of those individuals who
may be planning unaffiliated private events we will post details on our Reunion page on receipt. If there
are no details about such events listed, no information which we can provide has been
given to us.
We will be sponsoring our annual school-wide
Homecoming Reunion in the Fall. If you are interested in helping, please get in
touch. There is plenty that you can do to help irrespective of where your living
now.
If you are interested in planning a reunion in
2011, please feel free to contact us to discuss our sponsoring your event.

Our site will be under development for some time because we
have ambitious plans, and because so much has happened since Yorktown became the
"new" school in Arlington. So please be patient with us. It's hard to get caught
up after all these years. Better yet, roll up your sleeves and give us a hand.
There are many benefits available to members. You can

there.
Upon processing of your $10 annual dues (see details below)
we provide a password to gain access to our complete site. Currently most content on this
site is public while we work on developing "members only" content, except for
our current quarterly eNewsletter, and an Archive of past issues.
