About the Alumni & Friends of Yorktown High School, Inc.
The Alumni & Friends of Yorktown High School, Inc. is in the process of dissolving the official corporate structure and will no longer be sponsoring activities related to reunions or the school. We will post information here when the corporation is officially terminated. We will continue to maintain and update this web site as a service to the Yorktown community and alumni.
The Alumni & Friends of Yorktown High School, Inc. was an all-volunteer charitable organization whose purpose was to develop alumni support for Yorktown High School, with fellow alumni, faculty and current students through reunions, scholarships, career development, and other special activities. All such purposes were at all times exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Although we worked closely with Yorktown and its staff, and the Yorktown High School PTA, all three organizations are independent of the other. Accordingly, none are responsible for the acts or omissions of another.
We were a 100% volunteer organization of YHS alumni, parents of current and/or former students, and other friends of the school.
